Telehealth Services


Telehealth Consent

By using TALK Healthcare’s tele-health  services, you acknowledge and agree that mental health services may be provided remotely using secure audio, video, or electronic communication technology (“Telehealth”). You voluntarily consent to receive psychiatric and mental health services via Telehealth.

Scope of Telehealth

Telehealth services may include, but are not limited to:

Psychiatric evaluations

Medication management

Therapy or counseling sessions

Follow-up appointments

Secure messaging and electronic communications

Telehealth services are provided by licensed mental health professionals acting within the scope of their licensure.

Risks and Limitations of Telehealth

You understand that Telehealth has potential risks, including but not limited to:

Technology failures, interruptions, or delays

Unauthorized access to electronic communications despite reasonable security measures

Limitations in assessment due to lack of in-person interaction

You acknowledge that Telehealth may not be appropriate for all conditions or situations, and your provider may determine that in-person care is necessary.

Privacy and Security

TALK Healthcare uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you accept the inherent risks of electronic communication.

Location and Licensing

You agree to provide accurate information regarding your physical location at the time of each Telehealth session. Telehealth services are only provided in jurisdictions where the provider is licensed and legally permitted to practice. Services may be limited or unavailable based on your location.

Emergency and Crisis Situations

Telehealth services are not appropriate for emergencies. You agree that if you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, you will:

Call 911 or your local emergency number

Go to the nearest emergency room

You understand that TALK Healthcare providers may request local emergency contact information and may contact emergency services if there is a reasonable concern for your safety or the safety of others.

Technology Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have:

A stable internet connection

A compatible device with audio and/or video capability

A private and secure environment for sessions

TALK Healthcare is not responsible for interruptions caused by your equipment, internet service, or environment.

Recording Prohibition

You may not record any Telehealth session (audio or video) without the prior written consent of the provider and TALK Healthcare. Unauthorized recording may result in termination of services.

Right to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw your consent to receive Telehealth services at any time by notifying TALK Healthcare. Withdrawal of consent may limit or terminate your ability to receive services.

Acknowledgment

By using TALK Healthcare’s Telehealth services, you acknowledge that you:

Have read and understood this Telehealth section

Have had the opportunity to ask questions

Voluntarily consent to receive mental health services via Telehealth
